STAR 3000 New Generation

This month’s Machine of the Month is the STAR 3000 New Generation, a Z series solution designed for manufacturers looking for the precision and reliability of an IBARMIA machine in a defined, repeatable configuration focused on advanced machining.

Its concept is built around a very clear idea: one configuration, various units. In other words, it brings together premium components used in customised machines for advanced sectors within a STAR EDITION platform created to deliver strong technical value from the start.

The machine is based on a moving-column architecture with travels of 3000 x 800 x 800 mm. This is combined with a continuously rotating B-axis head (±120º), driven by torque motor technology, and a high-dynamic integrated rotary table that allows swing diameters of up to Ø1100 mm on a 3600 x 850 mm fixed table with high load capacity (1500 kg/m²). The result is a working environment designed for parts that require accessibility, stability and process control from different angles, offering extremely high flexibility when machining a wide range of part types in up to 5 axes / 5 faces.

At the heart of the standard configuration is an SK 40 electrospindle with 46 kW, 200 Nm and up to 12.000 rpm, supported by an IBARMIA 50-tool magazine. Details such as internal coolant through the spindle and a longitudinal chip conveyor complete a machine designed to maintain process continuity on the shop floor.

The STAR EDITION also offers the possibility of integrating SK 50 electrospindles, as well as the “Non Stop Machining” option for pendulum-cycle operations, enabling a considerable increase in productivity.
