IBARMIA participates in FactorIA to promote more autonomous, connected and intelligent manufacturing

IBARMIA is part of FactorIA, an R&D project within the framework of TransMisiones 2024 that promotes new technologies to move towards more autonomous, digital and efficient manufacturing and repair processes.

IBARMIA FactorIA

IBARMIA participates in FactorIA a research and development initiative aimed at accelerating the evolution of advanced manufacturing towards more autonomous, connected and intelligent environments. The project works on the development of technologies capable of increasing the autonomy of DED (Directed Energy Deposition) processes and their post-processes, integrating advanced digital capabilities throughout the entire production cycle.

FactorIA relies on a technological approach based on the connection between data, process and decision making. Among its main lines of work are advanced monitoring, IoT sensorics, Edge Computing, Cloud Computing, digital twins and artificial intelligence applied to adaptive control, with the aim of achieving productive systems with greater responsiveness, traceability and optimization in real time.

IBARMIA's participation in this project reinforces our commitment to industrial innovation, high precision manufacturing and the development of high added value solutions for the most demanding sectors. This collaboration allows us to continue advancing in technologies that will be key in the industry of the future, combining process knowledge, digitalization and advanced manufacturing capabilities. IBARMIA's public file within the project precisely highlights its expertise in flexibility, precision, user-centered design and industrial know-how.

FactorIA is developed within the framework of the Science and Innovation Missions - TransMissions 2024 program and has the dossier MIG-20242026. The project brings together companies and research organizations with complementary capabilities, including IBARMIA, Astilleros Murueta, DGH, Innerspec, Keyland, Lebario, Sothis and TECSA, together with ITEFI-CSIC, UPNA, UPV/EHU and Tecnun.

Subsidized by CDTI and with the support of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
