In the relentless pursuit of excellence in mechanical component production, IBARMIA is pleased to announce its involvement in an exciting research project funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. In collaboration with prominent industry partners, TECNALIA and UPV, we have embarked on a journey towards the future of manufacturing with the project "Production Systems for Exhaustive Quality Control in Machined Components from New 'Ultra Near Net Shape' Primary Processes".

This project, initiated in 2022 and scheduled to conclude by mid-2025, focuses on redefining quality control in high-value-added components. We tackle key challenges including modeling and simulating residual stresses as well as geometric distortions in 'Ultra Near Net Shape' (UNNS) parts and their evolution during machining.

One of the main innovations we are pursuing is the development of new, specific machining strategies. These strategies are designed to minimize the distortions inherent in UNNS part production. By better understanding and addressing these phenomena, we can significantly improve the accuracy and final quality of our products.

Furthermore, we are exploring new functionalities for our machining machines. These advanced functionalities will enable the machining of UNNS parts with unprecedented precision by integrating control strategies that can correct both static and dynamic deformations in real-time. This proactive approach to deformation correction during the machining process is crucial to ensuring consistency and quality in every produced piece.

At IBARMIA, we are committed to innovation and excellence in manufacturing. This project represents a significant step forward in our quest for perfection in mechanical component production. We take pride in leading this initiative alongside our partners, and we look forward to sharing the results of our research as we progress towards the future of the manufacturing industry.

Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting project and how it is transforming the landscape of high-quality mechanical component production. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of technology and taking manufacturing to new heights.
