IBARMIA is part of the SARA research project, developed under the Transmisiones 2024 call, whose kick-off meeting took place on January 29, 2025.

The project aims to contribute to the development of a new industrial ecosystem capable of acquiring and structuring collective knowledge currently dispersed across different industry stakeholders. This structured knowledge, defined through manufacturing attributes and characteristics, will enable the application of generative AI for reuse and exploitation in two key areas:

  • Greater autonomy in manufacturing systems.

  • Advanced assistance for professionals in critical decision-making.

The industrial consortium is led by Fagor Automation – CNC & Feedback Systems – Automation Solutions, and includes Grupo Aldakin, ATS Global, DENN (Industrias Puigjaner S.A.), Grupo Sevilla Control (GSC), IBARMIA, Grupo INMAPA and SmartPM.

The project is also supported by a consortium of technological centers and universities led by UPV/EHU through the Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFAA), together with BCAM – Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, CIM UPC, and IDEKO Technology Center.

Research project PLEC2024-011247 is funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by FEDER, European Union.

Through its participation in SARA, IBARMIA strengthens its commitment to technological innovation and to the development of advanced solutions for a smarter, more connected and efficient manufacturing industry.
