IBARMIA STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT TO R&D WITH NEW PROJECTS FUNDED BY THE CDTI

IBARMIA continues to advance its technological innovation strategy through a new portfolio of R&D projects supported by the Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation, CDTI. These initiatives reinforce our commitment to developing smarter, more precise and more efficient solutions for the current and future challenges of advanced manufacturing.
In line with our commitment to applied innovation and technological collaboration, the projects address key areas such as artificial intelligence, the autonomy of manufacturing systems, advanced repair, the machining of demanding materials and the digitalisation of industrial processes.
Among the projects included in this initiative, the following stand out:
SARA: Federated Process Management Architecture for Discrete Event Manufacturing Systems. The project is aimed at structuring industrial knowledge and applying generative artificial intelligence to increase the autonomy of manufacturing systems and improve decision-making in complex production environments.
FactorIA: An initiative aimed at moving from industrial automation towards manufacturing systems with a higher degree of autonomy, through the research and development of AI technologies. The project is based on digital technologies such as advanced monitoring, sensorics, Edge/Cloud Computing and digital twins, with the aim of improving the control and adaptation of industrial processes.
TWINMEC: A project focused on the development of high-productivity and high-precision machining solutions for large aerospace structural components. The initiative reinforces the commitment to advanced technologies capable of meeting the quality, stability and efficiency requirements of the most demanding sectors.
These projects consolidate IBARMIA’s commitment to applied, collaborative R&D focused on industrial results. Through these initiatives, the company continues to develop its own technological knowledge and strengthen its ability to offer advanced machining, automation and digitalisation solutions.
With the support of CDTI and the funding bodies associated with each call, IBARMIA continues to promote a smarter, more precise and more competitive industry.
